[Updated] 13. May, 2020

Important notice to our Valued Guests,

We would like to offer our heartfelt sympathy to the people affected by the COVID-19, and show our gratitude to the all health care workers.

On the 17th of April, 2020, the first infected case was confirmed in Amami City.  Although there are no further confirmed cases since then, we have a fear of the collapse of the medical system of Amami Islands. The hospital and the beds are only small numbers among all islands in the Amami Archipelago. Although we made changes to the service operations of the hotel and closing the restaurant since early April  to prevent the further spread of infections, we will strengthen preventative measures to proceed following the expansion of the state of emergency by the government and the Kagoshima Governor to support the health and wellbeing of our guests and our staff also to support to prevent the collapse of the medical system of Amami Oshima.

It was a difficult decision to make, but we will be temporarily closed until the 15th of June 2020.  We are currently taking reservations from the 16th of June onwards, but please note we may have to extend the closure depending on the situation.  We will keep you updated on our website or by SNS.

We will strive to continue providing service during our closure by emails and phone calls.  Also, as a part of our project, we are working on dispatching information of Amami Oshima and many more, which we hope to bring a smile and a support to our guests during the 'Stay Home' period at your home.

We would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to many guests who are planning to travel to Amami Oshima and stay with us, but we would like also to thank you for your continued understanding and cooperation.  Once again, this is for your own safety, for our staff's safety and also for Amami Oshima's medical system.

Our reservation center will be opened during the temporary closure and there will be our member of staff attending to your enquiries. However, as our telephone lines  will be opened only from 10:00 to 17:00, you may experience difficulties to get through to us by phone.  Therefore, we would appreciate if you could contact us by phone.  We will try upmost to respond to your emails soon.

Nest at Amami Beach Villas was born on the edge of the sea of Ashitoku, Akaogi Bay,
situated on the island of Amami Oshima in southern Japan.
Legend has it that Ashitoku, Akaogi Bay (also known as Amami Crater) was created by a falling star in ancient times.

The villas are designed with traditional Amami roof lines using local material
and modern Japanese concepts that amplifies space and richness with the comfort of our guests as the key mission.
Our villas are surrounded by sea and mountains under an open sky with breeze
from the bay that collectively provide a sense of peace and serenity.

We aim to provide you with an experience enriched
with the spirit of Amami Island and hope you enjoy your stay at our sanctuary.
